The Hall of Horrors trail is a 1.5-mile loop trail that takes approximately an hour to complete. The trailhead starts at the intersection of Queen Valley Road and Barker Dam Road. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow, with minimal elevation changes. The course is also dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friend along for the adventure.

While hiking, be sure to take breaks and appreciate the stunning views around you. The best time to hike the Hall of Horrors trail is during the cooler months between October and April. The temperature can reach over 100 degrees during the summer, so plan accordingly.

Getting There

The Hall of Horrors trail is located in Joshua Tree National Park, approximately 140 miles east of Los Angeles. To get there, take the I-10 east and exit on Highway 62 towards Joshua Tree. Follow the signs to the park’s West Entrance, pay the entrance fee, and continue driving for approximately 17 miles until you reach Queen Valley Road. Turn left and continue for about 2.5 miles until you reach the trailhead on the left-hand side.
